Afflatus

Afflatus

The cryptic mind
In the maze
In the labyrinth
Of lavender scented pines.

A kaleidoscope of colours
But in shades of grey.

The blind man sees
What the deaf man hears.

By the rounded square
In a hexagon shaped pear
Under the winter trees
Filled with blooming life.

The passion fruit
With a hint of lime
Dangled on cherry lips.
I eyed the skies above.

This complex but
Simple place a canvas
Of my creative mind
Guided by the fires
Submerged in waters deep.
